Sam Green Projects

Sam is involved in a number of projects, whether composing, recording or touring. The following examples showcase a selection of projects with which he’s currently involved.

Sam Green’s Rivers & Lakes

Rivers and Lakes is a UK-based 6 piece Jazz collective, led by Sam Green - Drums. Their music, soundscapes and improvisations are inspired by the natural world, drawing from time midst the lakes and fells of Cumbria, the valleys of South Wales and the mountain sided fjords of Norway.

UK based, albeit an international collective with members originating from Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, and Ukraine. Rivers & Lakes combines innovative and leading young musicians, including BBC Young Jazz Musician Of The Year (Ursula Harrison), and Young Irish Jazz Musician Of The Year (Nils Kavanagh). It’s this diversity and youthful energy that brings a real sense of joy and kinship to their music. Having drawn comparisons to The Fellowship Band, Big Bad Wolf, and Chris Lightcap, Rivers & Lakes encapsulate everything the UK Jazz scene stands for - definitely one to see now and watch them grow in the years ahead.

Debut album recorded August 2025 for release mid 2026.
